The NHL is going to have to start trading NHL players in the next few days.
This is expected to be the last major deadline for NHL players.
According to Elliotte Friedman, the league will start the trading deadline by trading the first few players that are available.
That means that players that were expected to trade for a player in the second round of the draft (i.e.
Auston Matthews, Joffrey Lupul) will be available in the first round.
The first two players in that range are Tyler Ennis and Nikita Zadorov.
The third player, Zach Hyman, is the No. 3 pick.
It means that teams will have to wait until late January or early February to trade those players.
The deadline is also expected to start at 9:00 a.m.
ET on January 15, meaning that teams have until noon EST on January 17 to trade the players.
